AI = Staging Dream

Must admit I’m not a big fan of using AI for art, mostly cause I like to get my hands dirty. But when it comes to staging sketches for a piece, particularly one that’s going with a specific item of furniture it’s pretty darn cool!

🔴 Sold!

Always bittersweet when you sell one of your favourites but it couldn’t have gone to a lovelier home! Gouache on canvas board, I painted Mother And Child whilst sitting by the pool on holiday. She was looking runway fabulous, rocking poolside chic, glass of champers on her hand until her tween rushed her, full of tears. Her demeanour completely changed as she tried to soothe him and I watched as he became a babe in her arms. It struck me how similar we all look, cross species, when comforting our young. This image shows the beauty and safety of a mother’s love.

A Study of She

Super excited to announce that my new series of mini portraiture is now on exhibition at Bishop Stortford's Museum: South Mill Arts. A Study of She is a series of small, framed 20 × 20 cm mixed-media portraits. Layering acrylic, ink, graphite, pastel and watercolour, each face is deliberately “in flux”; bejewelled, tender, defiant, sometimes strange — as a playful, gently political response to how ideals of feminine beauty shift, tighten, and break....
