🩶 Currently trending: vintage and antique metal utensils and decor - it’s a hit! Although I have shared before, I will write again about the history of stainless steel 🩶 Until the 19th century, metal in utensils was primitive - silver, brass, copper. Only in the 19th century, Nickel Silver (epns) started to be used as a cheaper alternative to silver. In 1913, completely by accident, Englishman Harry Brearley invented stainless steel in his laboratory. Since then, metal utensils have become more accessible to the masses, no longer a luxury. We have a quite beautiful stainless steel & silverware collection, please take a look! I’ll tell you a secret - food served in metal utensils always looking like it’s at the restaurant and very ‘instagrammable’! 🩶
