We spent the weekend in East Sussex celebrating a huge milestone: our dear friend Phil’s 60th birthday! 🎂🥳
From exploring the coastal charm of East Dean, Saltdean, and Eastbourne, to getting completely immersed in nature with a stunning walk up at Beachy Head, every moment was unforgettable. 🌊✨
The weekend was packed with everything good in life: endless laughter, incredible food, Eurovision tunes, and the absolute best company. Of course, a 60th needs a proper celebration cake, so I whipped up a homemade Liverpool-themed Red Velvet cake for the birthday star. ❤️⚽️ Swipe to see the creation!

Our Isle of Wight trip felt like stepping into a storybook 🌿✨

From the charming streets of Ryde and the coastal beauty of Ventnor, to the peaceful harbour town of Yarmouth and the breathtaking views at The Needles, every corner of the island had its own magic. Freshwater and Godshill were equally enchanting, with quaint cottages, winding country lanes and postcard-perfect scenery everywhere we turned.

But the true highlight was the fairy-tale village of Shanklin ❤️ Absolutely fell in love with its old-world charm, thatched cottages and cosy little streets. And then came the unforgettable experience of Shanklin Chine — already beautiful in daylight, and after sunset it transformed into something truly mesmerising and mystical. The illuminated pathways, waterfalls and lush greenery create a magical fairyland atmosphere that felt almost unreal 🧚🌿

It’s a Maundy Thursday tradition in my kitchen! 🍞✨ Every year, I bake these beauties to be enjoyed on Good Friday.
This year, I couldn’t choose just one, so I went with the classics: Traditional Raisin & Spice and a decadent Double Chocolate. 🍫 Personally I love to eat them lightly toasted, slathered in butter, and topped with a dollop of apricot jam. It’s that perfect balance of sweet, spice, and everything nice.
