Before&After// Renovation of the six-bedroom house

The Process // First the team prepared the subfloor. To do that the team put the DPM and self-levelling compound in the kitchen and installed the plywood in the other rooms. The engineering oak unfinished prime square-edged floor was glued down for the subfloor, and then the floors were sanded and finished with four coats of Loba invisible varnish.
Stairs were covered with solid oak prime wood and done with Loba invisible varnish.

The Process// We firstly put Bona DPM( a damp-proof membrane to protect the floor against the effects of moisture), then we put a self-levelling compound to level the subfloor, and then installed a herringbone parquet floor with a border.

Before & After// Herringbone parquet floor, sanded and restored.

The Process// These 55 sqm pitch pine herringbone parquet floor and 12 sqm hallway oak herringbone parquet floor were sanded and buffed to a smooth finish and sealed with one coat of Loba primer and three coats of Loba 2K Fusion satin mat lacquer.

The Result// Looks great and protected for many years to come.

Before & After // We removed the old carpet from this property and in installed a beautiful oak herringbone engineered wood floor.

The Process // We firstly removed the old carpet and removed the old sub-floor. We then installed insulation to soundproof and conserve energy. We then put in place a solid plywood sub-floor and then installed this herringbone engineered oak floor.

The Result // A beautiful and long lasting floor that's solid and soundproof.

The Process // We installed this oak engineered floor on the entire floor of this property and installed a stunning oak staircase. We slotted the new floor under the skirting to help avoid damage.

The Process // The period property had carpeted floor throughout. We firstly removed the carpet and then lifted the entire sub floor as it had become uneven over time. The joists were all changed to create an even base for this new flooring.

We then installed this beautiful chevron oak floor across the entire house.

The Result // A stunning floor that's in keeping with the property and enhances the original features.

Before & After // Removal of a carpeted staircase and installation of an oak staircase.

The Process // We removed the carpet from this staircase and then created an even base for the oak steps. We then installed the oak staircase and finished with a light walnut stain.

The Result // A stunning staircase that's more durable, easier to look after and far more pleasing than carpet.

Before & After // This Victorian staircase was recently transformed by Century Flooring as part of a complete refurbishment project of this three bedroom luxury property in London.

The Process // The old carpet was removed and then the staircase was levelled. Over time, staircases like these sag and move and before installing the new stairs, it's essential to create an even base.

We then installed an oak staircase on top and finished with a smoked coffee oil by Blanchon Wood Finishes UK.

The Result // A beautiful staircase that's in keeping with this luxurious property.
