What better way to bring your team together than a little day out and break up the work week. We all enjoyed getting competitive but our Estimator took the crown home 🏆 Well done Perry. The bottom 3 still got to take home the consolation prize Fairgame teddy bears.

Our Team at The Flooring Co were delighted to attend the Altro Voice of The Customer Visit last week.

We would like to give a special thanks to Altro for putting on such a spectacular few days. Everyone was so welcoming, hospitable, and really couldn't do enough for us.

Our team were able to enjoy.
- A factory tour showing the manufacturing process. Which they absolutely loved.
-They were able to meet Altro's BDM team and share their opinions on what their product range might be missing.
-They had the opportunity to use whiterock cladding (Which we now have available)
-They had a welding competition which our Estimator Perry WON! 👏
-They also got to enjoy a meal and drinks with Dana, compliments of Altro.

The Flooring Co join forces with Tarkett in pioneering recycling initiative.

The Flooring Co. recently completed first floor renovations at University College London Hospital (UCHL) working in conjunction with Contractors Russell Cawberry and Tarkett. Tarkett are a leading flooring manufactures and pioneers in recycling technology to re-use vinyl flooring.

The Flooring Co team were fully invested in this recycling opportunity. We up lifted the old IQ optima and collated the clean installation cut-offs from the newly laid floor, which were then bagged up and prepared for collection by Tarkett.

In total 2.5 tonnes of flooring waste were recovered from site, saving an impressive 9 tonnes CO2-eq when recycled back into nee Tarkett flooring.

UCLH is the first project for Tarkett to recycle post-use homogenous vinyl in the UK, and The Flooring Co. are proud to have been involved with this green-focused initiative.
