I love the shift in atmosphere that comes with the changing seasons, and as the days grow shorter, I often find myself thinking about the pleasure of gathering at home, around the table.

Autumn has a particular magic, but it comes with quite a chill, so bringing its colours, textures and layers indoors and onto the table really appeals to me.

For this table, I’ve used burnt oranges, natural greens, seasonal flowers and lots of texture. Nothing too controlled. A slightly undone quality feels right for autumn.

And of course, there has to be candlelight. I love the height and drama of tall candles as the light fades, while soft, enveloping throws add the cosiness we all cherish at this time of year.

I loved visiting the PAD London preview on Tuesday with my team.

From the exceptional 20th-century pieces at Galerie Yves Gastou to Nacho Carbonell’s otherworldly, organic pieces for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, it was a celebration of artistry, materiality and imagination.

I sat down in Delhi recently with Prateek Jain (.klove) and Gautam Seth (), founders of experimental lighting studio Klove (.studio) to talk about the power of light.

We explored light as material, mood and experience, how it shapes the way a space feels, its relationship to wellbeing and the role of hand-blown glass and India’s rich making traditions in Klove’s work.

From nature and materiality to the exchange between contemporary design and generations of artisanal knowledge, this is a conversation about how light can transform not just what we see, but how we experience a space.

I spend a lot of time in the library when at home in Delhi.

While I do relax here, the design is primarily intended to inspire a certain vigour. It’s a place I actively go to learn and to think, so the space leans a little towards formality as a way of supporting active study.

Its double height acts as vertical zoning. The two spaces are connected, but often used distinctly - upstairs for learning and creative thinking, downstairs for formalising plans and actions.

Our principle of addition through subtraction redefined spatial volumes to craft a more intimate interior narrative for this substantial Victorian Villa.

Working with, rather than against, the property’s existing architectural footprint, the space was manipulated beyond simple structural changes to fundamentally alter how it was perceived and experienced.

Through carefully considered interventions, bespoke craftsmanship and a layered material palette, we were able to create moments of intimacy within these generous volumes, balancing heritage with innovation in equal measure.

The result is a home that feels both welcoming and deeply personal, where every detail contributes to a greater sense of connection, comfort and permanence.

Art and the practice of interior design are inextricably linked. Artworks have the power to unite a space and spark conversation, but beyond that their effect on the mind and body is physiologically measurable - playing a vital part in the feeling of an interior far beyond its aesthetic value.
