In European folklore, moths are often seen as quiet messengers of the night, drawn to flame and shadow alike. In some traditions, they are linked to the soul, transformation, and the unseen world.

Creatures of instinct and soft darkness, they remind us that not all light is meant to be held.

In European folklore, the hare is a creature of the threshold, often linked to the turning of the seasons and the arrival of spring. In some traditions, it is associated with fertility, intuition, and the returning light.

Today marks Ostara, heralding the spring equinox, the hare becomes a quiet symbol of renewal and new beginnings.

Yule.
The longest night gives way to the returning sun.
A reminder that even in the quiet dark, new light is always waiting to grow. The final piece of my Wheel.

I am using this time to rest and recover still from surgery after a couple of minor complications. A very quiet festive break in my house this year, but very much needed. I will see you all in the new year some time. Much love. Sarah.

The wheel turns again and the descent has taken hold; the land darkens as the year begins to end.

The veil grows thin, and our voices reach a little further to those who came before us and perhaps theirs reach us too, if only we would pause to listen.

Soon it will grow quiet. Restful. Peaceful. Reflective.
