Summary about Turkic People 🧩

I often use the terms “Turkic” or “Turkic heritage”, but I’ve noticed that not everyone knows what I mean by them.

So I thought I’d explain what Turkic heritage actually means, and why you can find Turkic people and cultures spread across such a huge part of the world.

We’re not all the same, of course 🏹 every nation has its own history, culture, traditions and identity.

But there are also some fascinating connections between us 👀

Last year, I briefly mentioned the story of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site in my stories.
I was surprised by how many people had never heard about this part of history, including my close friends from post-soviet states.
I also decided to step back from my own emotional perspective and share a little more.
I hope this post gives you a context and perhaps inspires you to explore the story further.

35 years ago, on 29 August 1991, Kazakhstan officially closed the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.

Lately, it feels like there’s always something new to figure out - postal issues, dropping conversion rates, algorithm updates… and traffic that seems to have a mind of its own 🫠

I won’t lie, sometimes I struggle. Sometimes I get discouraged and wonder if I’m doing enough.
But then I remind myself why I started. I genuinely want to keep creating, sharing my designs and making jewellery that finds its way to the right people 🌷👾
Maybe all of this is just part? The little challenges that make us grow.

And the people who find me along the way… they are something else ✨ So kind. So supportive. So warm. Creating this little community was never really the plan. But somehow, it has become one of the most unexpected and beautiful gifts ☀️

To be honest, ArtKawai has given me real friendships!🤌🏼
