Our first social in South London was brilliant. We met at , and crafted while surrounded by their current exhibition No Loose Strands', a celebration of rich tapestry of radical textile art, exploring gender, political protest and community.
The exhibition includes community made quilts, protest banners and embroidered pieces as well as books, zines and journals from the Library’s collection. I really suggest a visit - there’s even the real life embroidery piece that’s become a meme! A huge thank you for having us and for opening and welcoming us into the space!🪡
We’re so excited to be heading back south of the river next month, this time at pop-up in Lewisham Shopping Centre!

The space will be closed to the public, open only for our community to take up space, to craft! Please bring your portable crafts projects, and if you need access to a sewing machine let us know - we have two sewing machines available for us to use! ✂️
