Getting your home ready for Christmas? 🎄
Before you start buying new cushions, ordering furniture or adding even more jobs to your to-do list, take a step back and think about what will actually make the biggest difference.
Whether you're hosting Christmas dinner or having family and friends to stay, it's often the little things that make your home feel more welcoming.
✨ Here are 4 things I'd focus on first:
1. Make sure there's enough seating. Think about where everyone will sit and whether you can rearrange what you already have before buying anything new.
2. Give your guest bedroom some love. If it's become a dumping ground, a quick declutter, fresh bedding and a few thoughtful touches can make all the difference.
3. Think about the flow of your home. Could moving a piece of furniture or clearing a walkway make it easier for everyone to relax and move around when you've got a full house?
4. Sort the little things that cause stress. Somewhere for coats and shoes, a clear kitchen worktop and a bit of space to put everyone's bags can make hosting so much easier.
The biggest thing to remember? You don't need to redecorate your entire home before Christmas or spend a fortune to make it feel special. Sometimes a few thoughtful changes are all it takes.
If there's a room you've been meaning to sort out but you're not sure where to start, my Room Reset sessions can help you work out what's not quite working and give you a clear plan to move forward.
