From first pattern pieces… to finished cowboy boots 👢

Sandra joined us for 2 days of private tuition to learn how to draft and construct her cowboy boot uppers from scratch! She then stayed on for our 3-day shoemaking workshop to really understand the full process 🌟

And now? Her boots are finished. And they FIT 👏

She told us:
“They fit really well and I am really pleased with them… I couldn’t have made these as well without all your input. Really inspiring to see what can be achieved. I’ve learnt so much through making them and just need to crack on now and put it into practice. Planning some sandals in plenty of time for summer!” ☀️

Stella’s papaya lizard-effect loafer slider 🌟

During our Amsterdam workshop, Stella chose a flat loafer slider style and paired it with a gold horsebit for a classic-meets-playful finish. Over the workshop, she traced and cut her uppers, stitched everything together, lasted the shoes, added structure, and attached the sole.

Here’s everything you’ll need to get started (swipe ➡️ for the step-by-step process).

🛠️ Supplies:
• Sandal soles + insoles
• Leathers of your choice
• Shoemaking glue
• Buckles
• Basic shoemaking tools
• (Optional) embroidery thread for decoration

With just these few materials, you can create a pair of sandals that are completely your own - something you’d never find in the shops.

The best part? Sandals are one of the quickest shoemaking projects you can start with, especially using our pre-made sandal soles (available in our online store 🛍️)
