It’s understanding space, proportion, colour, materials, lighting and how to bring a concept together, but it’s also knowing what happens when a real client walks through the door.
How do you develop a strong design concept? How do you choose the right materials and finishes? How do you take an idea from moodboard to a resolved interior?
And then there’s the part design school doesn’t always prepare you for: pricing your work, managing client expectations, spotting red flags, setting boundaries, working with suppliers and contractors, dealing with problems on site and actually running a design business.

Drawing on 14+ years of industry experience, I’ll teach you the creative and practical skills behind designing successful interiors, while also sharing the realities of working in the industry that are usually learned through experience.
From design principles, space planning, colour, lighting, materials and FF&E to client psychology, pricing, project costs, suppliers, contractors and managing difficult situations - this is about learning the whole profession, not just one part of it.
No textbook version of interior design. Real projects, real experience, practical knowledge and honest conversations about what being an interior designer is actually like.
