Planning a kitchen? here are our top tips
1 Start with a List 📝
Before worrying about style or layout, grab a pencil ✏️ and make a list with anyone else who will be using the kitchen:
😍 Things you love in your current kitchen
☺️ Must-haves (coffee corner, crockery storage, champagne coupes within reach 🍾)
🤯 Things you hate
Voilà! Your kitchen wishlist is born 🤩
2 Now you can think about style
Set a 30 min timer ⏰, grab Instagram & Pinterest, and start saving pics you love. Don’t overthink it — just save what catches your eye! When time’s up, go back and check for duplicates (clients ALWAYS pin the same kitchen more than once 😅).
✨ That’s your style showing through!
Pair those similar pics together, and voilà — your design concept is born! 💡
3 Floorplans! 📐
Measure your space and draw it out — doors, windows, obstacles.
🔑 The secret? The work triangle — hob, sink, fridge.
Place the fridge first, then oven, then sink. Draw worktops around them (60cm depth, 1–1.2m between runs).
🧑🍳 Think about busy areas (prep, coffee, dishwasher) — don’t block doors or tables!

4 Lighting 💡
Different levels for different moods:
✨ Task lighting for cooking/washing
💛 Softer lighting for evening + dining
Favourites: under-cabinet lights, dimmable pendants, angled spotlights, maybe a small table lamp 🕯️
Odd numbers rule = 1/3/5 pendants (or 2 spaced well)
5 Worktops 🪵🪨
Quartz/Stone: durable, cool, low maintenance
Wood: natural, soft, bread-making heaven
Acrylic: warm, durable, knife-friendly
Porcelain: bomb proof, pricey (and check you like the edging)
Order samples, compare with tiles, paint, cabinets, fabrics. Go with your ❤️!
Now you’re ready to hit the showrooms with confidence. But if it feels overwhelming 😅 Don’t worry — we have a full kitchen service to take you from confused → cooking in your dream kitchen 🍳✨
