Belgian-Peruvian artist Shirley Villavicencio Pizango, better known as Shurleey, shares her Top 3 places to visit during a weekend in London.  Discover the Santiago de Borja collection at our 168 Upper Street showroom. In the new collaboration with Serax, Shurleey translates her painterly language onto vibrant ceramic tableware inspired by her Peruvian heritage.

Last month our team headed to Paris for an exclusive preview of the new Ligne Roset collection, presented at Palais de Tokyo. The show entitled “The Stinger” after the retro brandy cocktail, evoked the mood of a vintage speakeasy, bringing together new launches by contemporary designers alongside re-editions of iconic pieces, including the beloved Togo sofa in a brand-new animal print upholstery. Our selections have already started arriving at our showrooms, watch this space for more new additions coming soon!

Plans for the weekend? We took a stroll to the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art to visit the Alessandro Mendini exhibition, now showing until 10th May. The show celebrates the designers exuberant and playful aesthetic, bringing together 50 key works from his extraordinary career, spanning furniture, lighting, textiles and product design. Mendini personified barware with the Alessandro and Anna G corkscrews designed for Alessi, a collection underpinned by his philosophy of “treating objects as if they were human beings, I make them smile”. Mendini became a leading voice in Italian postmodernism, collaborating with global design brands and heading up the editorial team at Domus magazine.
