So there’s a very long and wonderful story behind how I managed to get the opportunity to create this, my very first fused glass piece! (1 of 2)… but I feel like the story deserves its own video, so when I gain a bit of confidence to talk in a reel I’ll share it, but for now I just want to show off how well it turned out🥹

I wanted one of the first fused glass pieces I made to be something I give to my mum, and if you’ve been following me from early on in my stained glass journey, you might remember that my mum LOVES bees 🐝 So it was a given that I had to make something bee related, and I had to add some adorable hearts because it was just before Valentine’s Day 💕 Needless to say she absolutely loved it!

A couple of Christmas puds 🎄

I probably should have made these an earlier than the middle of December, but better late than never!

These little guys honestly turned out a lot better than I thought they would, also because I had no idea how I was going to attach the berries until I had already finished soldering everything else 😂 (in true Emma fashion) It was a bit of a wing-it mission, but it worked!

Now it’s time to introduce my little Christmas tree snow globes! 🎄

I was actually on the phone to my partner talking about my statement snow globe piece when he said he could picture a simplified mini snow globe made of 4 pieces, and I knew exactly what he was thinking of, as well as what glass I would use to make them! So here are my little twin set of snow globes.

Sadly the twins have already been separated as one of these cuties was snatched up at last weekends market (the light green one), but I still have one left! Again, if it doesn’t sell, I’ll be gifting it to myself for Christmas. My collection of my own ornaments is getting bigger and bigger as I struggle to let the odd piece go 😭

So this piece was a passion project I was working on this week, and thank god I was able to get a few shots at my market yesterday before it was snapped up half an hour before closing! 🥹❤️

I spoke to this lovely customer for a good 10 minutes about all sorts before she decided to buy this piece with a couple of others, and it was better-sweet to see my Christmas truck go because it’s so adorably festive, but equally I couldn’t have hand picked a lovelier customer for it to go home with! I just LOVE meeting people at markets, it truly is the best bit about them!

Now for the truck! I designed this piece on my iPad because I knew I wanted a big Christmas statement piece on my stall for that specific display shelf. I always knew it was going to be free standing which I’ve been experimenting with more recently, and I also wanted to try adding details with wire instead of increasing the number of pieces of glass it would take to make. I do adore how it turned out and how beautifully shiny it was after a good polishing ✨

Now I’ll be designing my next passion Christmas piece! Watch this space!

I’ve been wanting to make a little bee hive for a good while now and I finally got around to it! 🐝

I was actually going to make this piece free standing but after some thought, I decided it would look cute hanging on a bee-lovers Christmas tree or hanging in a hallway. It’s also the first time I’ve used bee charms this way, and I’m still in shock that my first go at using the wire to solder them on worked!

Here’s hoping all of my other projects for the rest of the year go to plan the way this one did 🫶

Getting an army or robins made for my next market at The Sidings !🎄 (wishing there was a little robin emoji right about now)

I normally don’t like batch making ornaments but these have been quite pleasant with the new design. I’ll admit I did mess up on a few breaks because of the harsh curves but other than that it’s been pretty plain sailing so far!

Can’t believe the response I had towards my Christmas robins today so I wanted to give them a little shoutout.

Robins have always been a big thing in my family, and not just at Christmas time but all year around. I had spent a lot of time designing a detailed Robin stencil last Christmas but with the festival season fast approaching I wanted a stronger simplified design. It took a little while to get the balancing right but I made it in the end and here is the finished result!

I also mixed up the glass I use for these this year, so instead of a textured brown, I’m using a streaky glittery glass (which I am obsessed with so thank you )

These have sold out today but I will be making more in the next few weeks. If you would like to pre-order one of these you can drop me a message through Instagram as I will not be putting these on Etsy this year due to stock levels/Christmas markets 🎄
