CHARLSTON GARDEN IN JULY
Had the loveliest day doing their 1 day gardening workshop with Harry Hoblyn learning the art of rambling borders and clever, sequential planting. Plus a private tour of the house I never grow tired of looking at.
Every time I come here I notice something new — a texture, textile or time-stamped piece of Bloomsbury history, preserved with so much care and love by the team there.
The garden was laced with lolling Hollyhocks and dancing Dahlias. I also learned (late in life) how to plant and grow from clippings. The Gardening Year 1-day course costs £150 and takes place 3-4 times per year.
