Our collaboration with Knepp Estate, renowned for its ground-breaking rewilding project was a joy to work on.

Established in 2001, the estate has transformed into a haven for wildlife, where deer and longhorn cattle roam free, and nature is given the freedom to flourish.

With we designed and manufactured a unique, sustainable furniture collection made from the estate’s natural materials, keeping waste and energy use to a minimum.

The leather is from their free-roaming longhorn cattle and the wood from their ash dieback clearance. The leather’s unique patination and supreme quality reflects the cattle’s life spent roaming the rewilding project as they please.

Boulder Benches in collaboration with sculptor and ~ bringing stone and leather together into a shared material language.

The studio was commissioned to design and craft bespoke leather seat pads and cushions that respond directly to the sculptural, curved forms of the Travertine blocks.

Vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather was selected for its natural affinity with the stone and its similar ageing qualities, developing a soft patina over time that mirrors the ageing characteristics of the travertine.
