The new DMC’s Nova Vita yarn no. 4 is made from recycled textile, just like the thicker Nova Vita yarn no. 12. Nova Vita allows you to create something beautiful, ranging from garments to home accessories, whilst also being eco-friendly. In order to create Nova Vita, DMC crushed, dyed and respun old fabrics. The yarn is supplied in recycled packaging: the yarn band is in fact made from seed paper that can be placed in fresh soil, from which plants can grow! The cord of the yarn has a diameter of 2.50-3.00mm and is made with a woven cord around a thinner cord, which gives it more strength. It is suitable for crochet, knitting and macramé for a wide range of projects, from garments to home accessories, such as bags, placemats, cushions, lamp shades or plant hangers. Available in 12 solid colours and 6 multicolour shades. Nova Vita no. 4 is made from 80% recycled cotton and 20% polyester and is certified In accordance with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label. Washable up to 30ᵒC. The recommended needle size is 5.00mm and hook size 4.00mm. One ball of Nova Vita no. 4 weighs 250 grams and holds 200 metres of yarn.
