This one began as 1,823 sq ft of blank potential - a principal suite, a dressing room, a reception room waiting for its reason to exist.

Mia has spent a decade designing interiors in London, and colourful kitchens are a regular part of her work at House by Mia. One client’s kitchen even pushed her into a strength of colour she’d never worked with before, and it became one of the studio’s most popular designs.

Dark cabinetry gets blamed for a lot it didn’t do.

Interior designer .rybchenko puts it plainly. it’s rarely the colour that fails, it’s what surrounds it. Cold white walls to start with. Then a single Pinterest photo, copied wholesale into a different room with different light and different proportions.
