Butchoff Antiques was started by Ian Butchoff, who developed his passion and knowledge from an early age, by accompanying his Silver Dealer father on long trips to the country and early morning markets from Portobello to Bermondsey. He then traded from a number of premises before moving to Kensington Church Street, and he is acknowledged today among his peers as one of the leading experts in exhibition quality 19th Century Furniture in the country. Not only is Butchoff Antiques one of the founding members of LAPADA – The Association of Art & Antiques Dealers, but Ian also sits on the board of Directors. Last year they won the prestigious Country Life LAPADA Object of the Year 2010 for their exquisite Hausburg Cabinet, completed in 1857.s
