After showing you how we approached the wider art curation at Minotti, we wanted to talk about one artist in particular: Ian Rayer-Smith.
When we look at Ian’s work, we don’t see something that needs to quietly blend into an interior.
Quite the opposite.
Minotti has such a precise design language — beautiful proportions, sophisticated materials, strong architectural lines. Ian brings something instinctive and expressive into that environment.
And that contrast is exactly what interested us.
His work introduces movement and emotion where everything else feels incredibly considered. It gives your eye somewhere to land and adds a layer to the room that furniture alone simply can’t create.
For us, that’s what good art curation is about.
We’re rarely asking, “Does this artwork match?”
We’re asking, “What does this artwork give the room that it doesn’t already have?”
Sometimes the answer is warmth. Sometimes scale. Sometimes calm.
With Ian, it was emotion and presence.
And we think these Minotti spaces show exactly why.
