A few highlights from this year’s Design Week at Chelsea Harbour- an event that continues to set the tone for innovation and excellence in interiors.

Across showrooms, there was a noticeable embrace of colour and patterns,in all its forms - rich tones, playful contrasts, and unexpected pops that brought each collection to life. It felt bold, optimistic, and refreshingly expressive. It was a powerful reminder on how colour can transform and elevate a space.

More than just a visual experience, it was a chance to learn, discover, and be inspired by the incredible talent shaping the industry. We walked away with new ideas, meaningful insights, and a renewed appreciation for thoughtful design.

Starting with a close-up because these blinds deserves its own moment in the spotlight. It’s the perfect example of how a bespoke approach allows you to carry a design language through every element of a room, from the window treatments to the very walls themselves.

The goal here was seamless integration. We designed these floor-to-ceiling wardrobes to disappear into the room’s architecture while providing massive amounts of storage. The blue-painted frames offer a bold pop of color, while the neutral fabric centers keep the look light and airy.

Paired with the classic radiator and the deep-pile carpet, it’s a space that’s built to last and designed to be lived in.

The anatomy of a perfect bedside. 📐✨

When we style a sleeping sanctuary, we look for a balance of three things: Height, Texture, and Light.
1. Height: The wall-mounted sconce frees up surface space on the nightstand, allowing the fluted cabinetry to shine.
2. Texture: We’ve layered a woven wallcovering with a plush velvet headboard-mixing materials is the secret to a “flat” room feeling expensive.
3. Pattern: The ikat and striped cushions break up the solid blues, drawing the eye toward the center of the bed and creating an inviting “nest.”

Proof that you don’t need a backyard to have a “garden” escape.

We’re breaking down the anatomy of this Orchard Place terrace. Small outdoor spaces often feel like an afterthought, but with the right layers, they become the most used “room” in the house.

The Formula:

Contrast: Industrial brick vs. Bohemian wicker.

Zoning: A bold outdoor rug defines the seating area, preventing the furniture from “floating” on the decking.

Palette: We pulled the blues and greys from the sky and the surrounding glass to make the space feel infinitely larger.

This kitchen explores the beauty of understated design through a carefully curated palette of textures and finishes. The soft concrete-effect cabinetry introduces a sense of depth and tactility, complemented by the light tiled backdrop that enhances brightness and visual balance within the space.

Warm metallic accents were introduced to soften the composition and bring subtle elegance to the overall design. The clean geometry of the cabinetry and island allows the materials to speak for themselves, creating a calm and sophisticated environment.

Beyond aesthetics, the layout was thoughtfully planned to support everyday functionality while maintaining a refined visual flow.

Natural light defines the atmosphere of this space. Large windows allow daylight to move freely through the room, softly filtered by full-height curtains.

The curtains are carefully tailored to frame the windows, enhancing the height and proportions of the room while adding softness to the architectural structure.

We opted for a tonal palette of dove gray and stone, allowing the fabric to melt into the walls while providing a soft, tactile contrast to the crisp moldings. The subtle embroidery on the leading edge adds just enough “weight” to the design, providing a sophisticated framework for the city view beyond.

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Kia Designs 03 Cohort—a 6-month, paid Interior Design Residency based in our award-winning London Bridge studio.

In a market where many internships lack structure, we have built a “Career-Launching Residency” designed to bridge the gap between design school and industry leadership. We aren’t looking for coffee runs; we are looking for three ambitious designers ready to be treated as peers.

The Residency is built on three professional pillars:
🔹 Pillar I: The Technical Deep-Dive Move beyond theory. Master the tender standards, BIM workflows, and construction detailing that define award-winning projects.
🔹 Pillar II: The Sourcing Mastery Build your professional network. From the showrooms of Chelsea Harbour to bespoke artisans across Europe, learn the art of procurement and materiality.
🔹 Pillar III: The Client Interface Witness the “Art of the Pitch.” Observe how we present to our clients and manage complex site queries with contractors on-site.

The Details:
📍 Location: London Bridge, SE1
💰 Remuneration: London Living Wage (£25,642 pro-rata)
📅 Duration: 6 Months (Fixed Term)
👥 Cohort Size: 3 Selected Residents

CAD Proficiency is essential, as you will be integrated into live project teams from Week 1.
