After quite some time Cuní's Medium is finally back in stock!! Mix medium with Cuni colours to create glazes, extend colours, enhance gloss and translucency and increasing flexibility and adhesion to the surface. Mix it with the desired pigment to create a new water soluble encaustic colour. Diluted with water and applied to the support or the priming, the medium provides a waxy surface that allows a smooth paint application. Beloved by many artists for its versatility, the beeswax based paint medium is composed of nontoxic products, accepted in cosmetics and food. No hazardous solvents are required. Get it whilst the stock lasts!! 😃

The brilliant history of cobalt blue

Did you know that cobalt blue has been coloring our world for centuries? This rich, deep pigment was first used in ancient China for blue-and-white porcelain as early as the 8th century. But it wasn’t until 1802 that cobalt blue was officially discovered and synthesized by French chemist Louis Jacques Thénard.

Valued for its intense, stable hue, cobalt blue quickly became a favorite among artists.

Unlike other blue pigments, cobalt blue doesn’t fade over time — making it a true classic in both art and design. 💎
