Here, we’ve layered it in all sorts of ways, the soft blush of the wall, the patterned headboard, the tiny florals on the lampshade and that lovely deeper pink running down the edge of the curtains.⁠

The architecture does the groundwork, the cornicing, the fireplace, the beautiful proportions, all setting the tone long before a single cushion is placed. But it’s the layers that truly bring it to life.⁠

The banquette is an ideal solution for this living/dining space as the it backs up to the wall so there’s no need for extra space to pull back chairs. This also means the table takes up less space in the room.⁠

Grand proportions needn’t mean formal or imposing.⁠

In this stately home, the furniture arrangement helps bring warmth and intimacy to the scale of the room. Generous armchairs, a deep upholstered ottoman and soft, muted colour create a space to sit, designed for comfort and connection while still feeling entirely at home amongst the original architectural features.⁠
⁠
In this stately home we were able to restore much of the existing furniture. Combined with some new additions, the balance is achieved in choosing pieces with enough presence for the space, but with the softness and character that make a grand room feel genuinely inviting.⁠

Emma recently gave a tour on reels of bespoke joinery that we created for a client. ⁠

Bespoke joinery can often lean towards the traditional, but it certainly doesn’t have to.⁠
⁠
Here, the clean lines and bold green finish give this fitted cabinetry a much more contemporary character. Rather than blending quietly into the background, the joinery becomes a feature of the room and a confident way to introduce colour.⁠
⁠
Paired with the patterned chair, artwork and collected objects, it gives this corner a sense of personality that feels considered rather than overly coordinated.⁠
⁠
Proof that practical storage can also be one of the strongest design statements in a room.
