One of the most transformative spaces at our Mill Hill project is the open-plan kitchen and family area. Previously
constrained by a poorly conceived 1990s extension, ROAR opened up the rear of the house to create a generous, light-filled gathering space that connects directly to the garden.

The kitchen developed in collaboration with balances playful design with everyday practicality. Spray-lacquered yellow cabinets echo the chromatic thread from the entrance hall and WC, energising the space and linking it to the wider home. Oak-fronted base units add warmth and grounding, while bullnose worktops and rounded handles continue the language of soft tactility.

The result is a space that is joyful and functional in equal measure a true family hub where bold design elevates daily life.

British Home Awards 2025 - Highly Commended for Best Interior Design: Individual Home category ✨

We’re really pleased to share that Tudor Close, our colour-rich, joy-driven redesign of a family home in Mill Hill has been Highly Commended at this year’s

This was a really fun one. Working with a young family of four, we used colour to shape the whole feel of the house, Tessera greens, sunny yellows, soft pinks and deep berries flowing through curved joinery, parquet floors and textured finishes.

The aim was simple: make the home warm, personal and genuinely uplifting to live in.

From the green drenched entrance hall to the Bauwerk-washed principal suite and the bright and open plan kitchen by Joyn Kitchens, every space was crafted to feel welcoming and full of character.

We kept to our retrofit-first approach too - upgrading insulation, adding underfloor heating and improving glazing so the house feels good to live in and kinder to the planet.

Tudor Close is colourful, comfortable and easy to live in, a home that reminds us how much joy thoughtful and bold design can bring.

British Home Awards Extension of the Year Winner 2025 🙌

We’re thrilled to share that our Newton Park Place project has been named Home Extension of the Year 2025.

This was one of those projects that demanded a mammoth effort to get every detail right — the kind where, halfway through, you slightly regret committing to millimetre-perfect alignment… but it’s far too late to turn back. We’ve all been there.

That’s why this recognition means so much. It reflects what’s possible when you have a fantastic client who encourages you to push further and trust the process.

A huge thank you to everyone involved — and especially to and , whose mastery of timber and landscape craft brought the design to life.

One judge remarked:
“This is the kind of project that raises the bar for extensions to historic homes.”

We’re thrilled to announce that Nina’s House has been shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2025 in the Sustainable House Renovation category!

A collaboration with , Nina’s House is a deep retrofit of a cold, uninspiring 1970s house which is now transformed into a warm, low-energy, fossil fuel-free home that enables greater self-sufficiency for the family.

Using natural, local and recycled materials, the project celebrates what already exists - prioritising performance, beauty and circularity over demolition or extension.

Wrapped in cork and filled with light, texture and warmth, every detail from salvaged joinery to recycled plastic reflects a commitment to sustainability.

A tactile, thoughtful home that sparks curiosity, connection and joy.

We’re honoured to be recognised alongside such incredible group of projects!

🏆 Award news! Newton Park Place has been shortlisted for Home Extension of the Year at the British Homes Awards 2025 ! 🏆

Set within the Chislehurst Conservation Area, this bold timber-framed extension reimagines a Grade II listed Victorian home, adding 30sqm of living space while reshaping the connection between the house and garden.

Designed to blur boundaries, the project creates a flowing landscape inside and out, where architecture, planting and joinery work as one.

Rather than imitate the Victorian architecture, Newton Park Place is purposefully distinct: sustainable, contextual and quietly innovative.

A huge thank you to our brilliant collaborators:
