hub by Premier Inn London Farringdon (Old Bailey) is officially open.

Set within a Grade II listed former Victorian police station, this was no standard rollout. A complex site blending retained heritage – in particular the original Reading Room, complete with its Delft tiled fireplace and ornate ceiling plasterwork – with the clean efficiency of the hub by Premier Inn model.

Honouring the building’s history was central to the scheme. Local artists Leily Mojdehi and Hilary Yip created site-specific works that narrate its story. We worked closely with the team at to ensure cohesion of additional bespoke artworks and accessories throughout the public areas.

A heritage building reimagined for modern hospitality, already being dubbed the UK’s “poshest Premier Inn.”

Huge congratulations to the entire team involved.

Our 2025 in numbers.

From moving studio to bringing 14 projects to life, this year has been full of ideas, collaboration and detail-led design - powered, of course, by a lot of caffeine.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey. We’re excited for what next year has in store.

Following last week’s post on our Regency Glamour seaview scheme, we’re sharing the inbound concept we created for The Grand Hotel, Brighton.

The challenge? Guests often saw the inbound rooms as a downgrade compared to the seaview rooms. Our solution was to create a completely different experience - dialing up the theatre, luxury, richer colours, textures and detail to make them intriguing and desirable in their own right.

Design highlights:
- Gold leaf ceiling rose inspired by the Brighton Hippodrome ceiling
- Mirrored headboard backdrop evoking layered theatre curtains
- Vintage poster-style window graphics concealing the view of the car park
- Artworks by Maria Rivans, Eelus, and Mark Vessey
- Playful touches: movie packages and Polaroid cameras for guests to capture memories to take home

The result: immersive, characterful spaces that celebrate Brighton’s creative energy and bohemian spirit.

A throwback to a concept we brought to life at The Grand Hotel, Brighton - not shared until now. JSJ Design had the privilege of working on a fast-paced feasibility project for this iconic Grade II* listed landmark with over 200 guestrooms.

Inspired by the sweeping seafront views, this scheme maximised the hotel’s historic architecture while reflecting the colours, textures and calm of the coast. Every detail was designed to honour Brighton’s heritage and the timeless elegance of the hotel.

Highlights included:

- Bespoke starling and Sussex rampion artwork above the bed by

- A seascape wall covering by printed by

- ‘Bathing Beauties’ artwork above the bath, printed on Perspex by

- The Carousel pendant light by inspired by the seafront fairground rides

- Bespoke bed with rope detail posts made by .design - a nod to Old Tom, the hotels lift operator who “pulled the ropes”

From over 30 studios, we were proud to be shortlisted in the final two - and this project still stands as one of our favourites.

MOMO — a pan-Asian fast food concept + brand development project we created for a restaurateur client.

Our mission?
✨ Design a vibrant, Instagrammable interior
✨ Build a bold brand identity
✨ Blend Japanese + Korean influences into something fresh for the grab-and-go market

Using the existing logo as the basis, we developed the interior concept and worked with to develop the bold graphic based artwork. Inspired by the rich traditions of Korean Obangsaek colours + Japanese five-colour philosophy, the artwork features throughout the design - across back lit wall panels, signage, digital touchpoints and packaging.

💡 The result? A concept that celebrates culture and creativity while proving design and branding can work hand in hand to tell an impactful story.
