Something very different!

As some of are aware I am a mum to 2 SEN children, I have been pondering over the idea of setting up a supportive group locally to me for a while.

I am going to be setting up another IG page for the new group where people will be able to find out more about how important it is for us parents & carers as well as our children to support each other.

I’m just putting the feelers out to see if this Is something people may find helpful and Benifit from.

Challenging, as 2 of my children are of school age and their aren’t many things that are readily Available for them to take part in outside
Of School at convenient hours or outside Of term Time that is specifically for their needs.

I am starting a support group with the Lewisham area, South East London, and will be run by parents of SEN children who have an existing diagnosis or are awaiting to their diagnosis of ASD, Tourette’s or any other SEN disability, who want to help, support and share our personal experiences with others that may be in a similar situation by discussing possible solutions to ongoing issues we are all facing.

The group will be a place where you feel a sense of belonging and where We can encourage each other.
It will be 1 or 2 times per month and will be a stay and play session for SEN children only and their younger siblings from ages 5years to 13years, after school from 3:30pm till 5:30pm.

Information sheets on relevant topics that attendees are wanting to know more about will be available as well as local up and coming SEN friendly events, and more.
It’s a chance to help and share your first hand experiences with others and build a support network not just for us parents & carers but For our children too.”

What motivates you to keep going?

This is just one, of a bunch of question's I get asked.

In all honesty, as well as having a natural drive, and determination to have a successful business by designing, creating and making my products, for you all to enjoy. My motivation to keep going is wholeheartedly my 3 boys.

I wouldn't be where I am as a person let alone, how far my business has progressed within the last 8 months if it wasn't for my determination and motivation to have a successful business as well as being a positive, hard-working role model for my children.

I hope that when they are older and can see just how far we as a family have come with love, hard work and a drive to achieve our goals/dreams, anything is possible.

Is it just me or do you find Lightening so pretty and mesmerizing to watch?⁠

I remember as soon as I heard the thunder crash, I would rush to my window in the hopes it was lightening outside too, I could stand there for ages, watching it bounce around, shooting across the sky, lightening up the clouds as if it was something out of a fairytale. ⁠

If I had to give my 18-year-old self 1 piece of advice that she would be able to take with her and grow throughout her life and business, it would be " BE YOU"!

Sounds simple, right?

Hine sight is a wonderful thing, and I wish I didn't waste so many years worrying about how to fit in when I should have just embraced who I am deep down as a person.
Not everyone is going to like the things you do, not everyone is going to love your design choices, clothes, music choices or even the way you take your tea!

And that's perfectly fine because they are not you, they don't have your vision, you do. Be bold, Be brave, BE YOU!!!!

Everyone knows of the iconic fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, right?

I have never been a person who "follows fashion",, Vivienne Westwood on the other hand, I have always found her fascinating. I had no idea why I found this incredibly daring Creator so memorizing, until now!

I have always loved all thing against the grain, quirky, odd, strange, just to name a few things my sense of taste has been called over the years...lol

But as much as I have tried many times over the years to fit in and tone down my "quirkiness", it never went, the draw for me to truly express myself, who I am as well as feel comfortable in what I wear, has always been there, calling me like an old friend.
