TLA Studio are architects and interior designers specialising in carefully designed and detailed residential and commercial projects, often involving contemporary interventions and alterations to historic buildings, as well as new buildings and interiors that tend to relate very closely to their surroundings. We work on a diverse range of projects for an international client base – including art g

alleries, small boutique hotels, high-end residential, landscape design and commercial work. Our success is derived from a flexible understanding of the brief and the ability to provide a complete design service from inception through the building contract to the interior decoration and soft furnishings. Many of our jobs are located in London, in the home counties as well as Hampshire and Cheshire in England. We have worked internationally on projects in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bahrain, Nepal, the USA, and closer to home, the Isle of Man and the South of France, where we are currently working on a villa refurbishment above Cannes. TLA has a simple but considered approach, working very closely with the client brief to create thoroughly resolved bespoke environments. Informed by a rich understanding and articulation of past and present design movements, the influence of the site itself together with the individual needs of the client. Our subtle, multi-layered spaces and architectural forms are inspired by influences as varied as Andre Putman, Jean Michel Frank, Edwin Lutyens and Carlo Scarpa.
