This piece keeps reminding me that becoming who you are takes time.

We’re so used to hiding the parts that feel unfinished, pretending we’ve got it all together.

But real growth happens in those in-between stages.

The gold has started to come through again, and I can feel her waking up.

The movement in her body is the same movement we all need, in order to come back to ourselves.

So much of what’s been called “too much” or “too sensual” is just energy trying to move again.

Her eyes are closed because she’s listening.

Learning herself all over again.

Feeling her own rhythm 🪘

If her energy speaks to you at this stage, you’re welcome to message me or comment “Interested.”

I'm yet to jewel her with cowrie and thread.

She’s still in the process of becoming, but who isn't?

Hi I'm Love! Nice to meet many of you who are here new.

My paintings explore the relationship between the human spirit, the divine feminine and the natural world. I’m interested in how women carry ancestral wisdom through their bodies, and how that wisdom guides us, and the planet back to balance.

My practice is shaped by an Animist view of life. It's my understanding that all things hold energy and consciousness. I am also informed by Obeah traditions from my Caribbean lineage and the nature-centred cosmologies of Celtic Shamanism. These lineages teach me to see art making as a conversation with living forces rather than a solitary act.

Working in acrylic and mixed media, I build layered worlds that mirror the processes of healing and transformation. Plant medicines, ritual gestures, and natural symbols often appear as pathways between worlds. Each piece becomes a place to listen to what is ancient and still alive within us.

Through painting, I seek to remember how spirit moves through matter and how creation itself can be an act of restoration. My work asks what it means to journey inward while staying rooted in community, ancestry, and the earth that sustains us.

My creative path has been shaped by both art and survival. Years of living with womb conditions (endometriosis ,PCOS, Adenomyosis) taught me to listen to my body as a guide rather than resist it. That journey brought me home to myself and opened the door to my spiritual work. Painting became a way to translate healing into something visual, to turn experience into beauty and create something that helps others remember their own power.

Alongside art, I offer Reiki and Shamanic Energywork sessions that hold space for emotional, physical, and energetic renewal. In the past I've offered Creative Workshops, that allow women to come back to their creativity. I am a mixed media visual artist, energyworker, shamanic practitioner, speaker, creative shaman, plant medicine advocate, wife, cat lady, Animist Obeahwoman, and womb-self-healer.

Every part of my life is a form of practice a living reminder that beauty, energy, and spirit are all expressions of the same truth: creation heals.

She’s still becoming something beautiful... The gold is sparkling ✨ and finding its way through the canvas.

This piece was started two years ago and honours movement as the medicine it is.

In dance, the hips and waist release trauma that the mind isn't able to put to words.

Twerking, whining, rollllingggg....

What is often judged through a colonial gaze is truly a way of letting the body BE again.

Every circle of the hips releases memory from the womb and the sacral space. This is how the body remembers its story, everything it's carried you through.

For people whose ancestors were taken from their lands, joy in motion becomes a way of coming back to life. It's not 'lewd' or 'barbaric'. Even if we're told it is.

Her eyes are closed in this piece, but not in retreat- in journey. Movement is a form of trance and going inwards is a connection to self and the music. She turns inward while her body expresses outward joy.

Soon, cowrie shells will be sewn into her costume to call in abundance and ancestral blessing.

This work is in progress. If her energy speaks to you, you’re welcome to reach out about collecting her once she’s complete. Simply comment 'Interested' below or DM me.

✨ Slowly forming, but coming into her own, as with all spiritual journeys.

Each layer that appears brings deeper meaning, in life and in this piece.

For so many of us on a spiritual journey, the real work isn’t just raising our vibration. It’s learning to stay in resonance when the world keeps pulling us out of tune.

The enemies of that resonance are everywhere: hurry, overthinking, the need to look “put together,” the fear of being too much.

This piece is about coming back into alignment with the higher self

that silent space beneath the noise where we actually feel our connection again.

It carries the intention of grounding light into form, of translating frequency into colour, of remembering that everything is energy, even the parts of us we’ve tried to hide.

She’s slowly revealing herself, just like we do.

One layer at a time.

Returning to centre.

Remembering the sound of her own soul.

🖼️She’s still in progress, but I feel her coming to completion soon.
If this piece is speaking to you, even at this stage, I’d love to hear from you. I’m opening early enquiries while I’m still working on her as sometimes the right collector finds a piece before it’s even finished.

Send me a message if you feel it.

I’d tell her that pouring herself into everything and everyone would only leave her empty.

That all the drinking, partying, attempts at overachieving and sh*tty relationships were really just distractions from her own voice.

She didn’t know it then, but she was already burning through her energy faster than she could refill it.

I’d tell her that the exhaustion in her body wasn’t failure, it was her higher self begging her to stop and listen.

Chronic illness was the canary in the mine, asking her to pay attention.

I’d tell her that one day she would learn to come back home to herself through Reiki and Energywork, to move her energy instead of losing it.

That she would find her way back through her hands, through healing and art, until life felt alive again.

I’d tell her that everything starts working again once she learns how to come back to her own energy.

Your rituals don't need to be long, every single day! Sometimes a short grounding exercise is all you can fit in, and often all you need.

Place your hand on your heart, solar plexus or sacral space. Simply breathe and as you do, notice the temperature, texture and cadence of your breath.

Don't try to change it, don't try to judge it. Just BE. And be thankful in the moment for the ability to send breath to the vital organs in your body.

The process is a path...

As she builds her layers, she finds meaning, inner peace, and balance, reminding her to breathe, reflect, and give gratitude for the beauty around her.

Through this season, this changing of light to dark, holding the balance in both is something to give grace for. We move through both. We exist in both ☯️

She’s only half here, but already she’s speaking to me, here's how I intend to slowly but surely bring her to form.
Hermeticism will shape her structure, mysticism will vibrate through her colour, and esotericism will move in her symbols. The space around her will become a meditation space, where yin and yang meet and dissolve into something whole.

Working on finding balance, whilst painting about finding balance.

Recovering from burnout hasn't been easy at points. It's felt so rocky, but then calm and then rocky again. Almost like a ship sailing through the ocean.

Right now it feels like stormy waters but I'm constantly looking for my north star to give me the signs that I'll find land again.

THE WHEEL

The unseen protectors,
heroines and heroes unbound
from human ego’s need
to make-matter,

with flowing grace,
with ease, with joy,
carry us through the unbalance

through the crisp,
warm-coloured shedding
of the year before,
what has already
been lived and loved,
and let go.

They guide us onto
the luminous remains
of Ra’s high peak,
that light-leak
lingering
to nourish,
to allow a season
brand new, to flourish.

They told us BEIGE was “timeless.”
didn’t tell us it was a tool, I mean, why on earth would they?

But BEIGE IS a tool to make everything and everyone blend in. To slather us in sameness, to strip out the stories, the texture and the ancestral memory.

Colour is who we are, where we’ve been, proof we existed. It's the blue in Nana's tea cloths, the lifeblood red of the womb, the green of Mother Nature.

Color psychology is understood to be very important in marketing because it has a tangible effect on our emotions- and how we consume under capitalism. Our interiors, our most sacred spaces, how we perceive brands- all of the major players know what colour truly does to us! They take it seriously, so why haven't you given it a second thought? It's because they've hidden this knowledge from you. ON PURPOSE.

When they take away the colour, they attempt to take away the connection to spirit and to ancestors. To the higher self. But now that you know, you won't let them- will you?

Curious as to what I'm rattling on about?
💬 DM “BEIGE” and I’ll send you my latest blog post explaining it all.
