Let your inner poet out ✒️
Bouts-rimés is an exercise consisting in a list of words that rhyme to one another, drawn up by another hand (Madam's), and given to a poet (YOU), who is to make a poem to the rhymes in the same order that they were placed upon the list.
Example: {Game, poem, list, prescribe, twist, tribe}
The aim of the game
Is to write a poem
Following a list
Of words I prescribe
But adding your twist.
To your quills, my tribe!
Madam, magnanimous as always, allows you to place the rhymes in whatever order you like. Metrical feet will be to your liking, but please note we prefer if you choose a verse length and stick to it.
