I’m interested in creating space for people. Or even just the room to think.

Giving them room to do more, or completely relax. I made my first piece of furniture for my family because no one else made exactly what I wanted. It was a space-efficient storage bed. I wanted a thoughtful design, with robust build quality, creating loads of extra room. It took me a while to get it just right. Then I made another. The friend who bought it asked me to make another. So I did. Then

Most hallway tables hold a lamp. This one holds a dinner party.

The Slim console spends most of its life as a hallway table — until people turn up. Each extension adds two more seats, and the extensions live with the table, so there's nothing to fetch from the loft and nothing to move out of the room.

I slept here last night. And it felt good.

Some news we've been sitting on.

Furl is now a Certified B Corporation. It means we've been independently assessed on how we treat our people, our makers, our materials and the planet — and held to it. Every sofa bed and storage bed still made by the same hands, in the same workshop. Now with the paperwork to prove it's done properly.
