I love how Danish design strips things back to the essentials — beautiful proportions, honest materials and comfort that doesn’t shout for attention. These chairs work just as well in a period home as they do in a modern space, bringing warmth through natural wood and that effortless, lived-in feel.

Timeless rather than trendy, and proof that good design doesn’t need to be complicated.

From Awkward Layout to Moroccan Sanctuary

Transforming this compact and challenging bathroom into a serene, spa-like retreat was all about reimagining the space. The original layout featured a cramped bath and an even smaller shower, limiting both functionality and flow. To create a true hammam-inspired experience, we reconfigured the entire space—removing the bath, relocating plumbing, and designing a seamless wet room.

To enhance symmetry, we closed off one of the two mismatched windows, while the uneven ceiling was leveled (despite some height constraints). Instead of seeing this as a limitation, we embraced it—drenching the space in a rich, warm-toned lime wash to create a moody, cocooning atmosphere.

Textural depth was key, so we introduced arabesque tiles for an authentic Moroccan touch, paired with elegant copper swan-neck hardware to bring warmth and character. The result? A tranquil escape that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality—bringing the essence of Morocco to London.
