Pearspring is now permanently closed.
After a very difficult and often emotional four weeks selling through our stock, the shutter has come down on our shop for the very last time.
From all of us at Pearspring, we just want to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the community and our customers for their support. We have been blown away by the comments we’ve received from customers about our closure, and to be honest in the very clear support you’ve all shown us in buying up our remaining stock and plants in the way that you all have.
Just over 5 years ago, we set up the shop to provide excellent customer service and an exciting range of houseplants and botanical goods at affordable prices. From the comments we’ve received online and instore since we announced our closure, it is obvious that our vision and original reason for opening have very much resonated with the community in a very positive way. We could never have lasted the amount of time we did without your support, and our very many loyal customers. So it goes without saying that from all of the team, we really do want to say a massive and heartfelt thank you.
What’s next? It’s a question that has been asked hundreds of times each day over the last few weeks. As owners, we’re not entirely sure yet - after a very difficult few weeks on several levels, we’re now going to take some time to recharge and prepare for life after Pearspring. Retail is hard, and becoming harder, so we know that as retailers - this is the end - but we’re looking forward in a cautiously positive way!
To our staff (past and present), we want to say a massive thank you - we couldn’t have done any of it without you, and we wish you all the best in your next ventures. One of the things that we’re proudest of is that many of our staff have gone on to work within the industry for other people, many having never worked with plants before coming to us, so in some ways it’s over to you to carry the best bits of our shop into the future.
So one final time - thank you to everyone who shopped with us, popped in for advice or helped us in any way over the last 5 years. It’s been a journey, and you’ve been great.
