Planning Submitted | Heathfield North
Planning has been submitted for our scheme on Northfield North. The scheme developed from the idea of a garden bay window, that accentuated the existing stepped elevation. The bay facilitated a horse shoe kitchen whilst also improving circulation to the side extension and better incorporating a utility space. All in all the proposals only call for an additional 10sqm of footprint, but with thoughtful internal alterations, opening up and joinery the resultant plan offers far greater flow, openness and flexibility. We are looking forward to developing the technical design in the next few months.

Development Renders | Lenelby Road

We’ve been working through scheme options for a new project on Lenelby Road in Surbiton. The modest extension adds new kitchen, utility, WC and cloaks within a side and rear footprint. The driver was to negate excessive structural alterations to the existing, allowing openness through framed views without being expansively open-plan. This saves money, increases flexibility, and we feel, creates a more dynamic interior as spaces contract and open-up. There is privacy where required.

Planning Submitted | Walthamstow
We are pleased to have submitted planning for the ground floor extension and refurbishment of an end of terrace home in Waltham Forest. The proposals are articulated by a chamfered, lime rendered, parapet sitting above a stone brick plinth. The soffit offers shade and protection from the elements allowing openness to the garden throughout the seasons. The kitchen straddles between the original building line and extension, maximising the efficiency of the layout within a smaller footprint and allowing for more garden to be retained. A simple palette of limestone, timber and lime render allows an harmonious flow between interior and exterior with large sliding partitions and timber ceilings subtly forming thresholds between the habitable spaces. The plan is intended to be open but adaptive.
