A classic choice for a beautiful bay window

Recently installed made-to-measure plantation shutters, designed to follow the shape of this bay perfectly.

Shutters are a great option for bay windows, giving you flexible control over privacy and natural light while keeping the window looking clean and uncluttered.

The adjustable louvres mean you can maintain privacy at bedroom level while still letting plenty of daylight into the room.

Measured, supplied and professionally installed by the Abbott’s team.

Before & after

A great transformation from one of our recent projects.

We installed beautiful herringbone wood flooring throughout the ground floor, alongside a new Fibre carpet fitted to the staircase.

The curved bottom steps needed plenty of care and attention during installation, but the finished result works beautifully – particularly where the soft texture of the carpet meets the natural oak herringbone flooring.

A lovely project to be part of and a great example of how combining different flooring finishes can completely transform an entrance and staircase.

Light control. Privacy. Blackout. All in one.

Recently installed Luxaflex® Pirouette® A Deux blinds, combining the beautiful light control of a Pirouette shade with a built-in blackout roller blind.

During the day, the soft fabric vanes can be adjusted to filter the light and provide varying levels of privacy, while the integrated blackout blind can be lowered when complete privacy and room darkening are required.

Two blinds working together within one beautifully designed system – perfect for bedrooms where you want flexibility throughout the day and night.

eautiful herringbone flooring with the details to match

A recent installation of herringbone wood flooring, bringing warmth and character to this lovely home.

One of our favourite details on this project is the transition between the timber flooring and the large-format tiles. We created custom solid oak threshold bars to give a clean, considered finish between the two different floor surfaces.

The herringbone pattern works beautifully with the natural oak joinery and gives the hallway a timeless finish.

A lovely project to be part of and a great example of how the finishing details can make all the difference.

Privacy where you need it, light where you want it

Recently installed Luxaflex Duette® Top Down Bottom Up blinds with PowerView® motorisation.

The Top Down Bottom Up system is perfect for bedrooms and overlooked windows, allowing you to position the blind anywhere within the window. Here we’ve created privacy at bed level while still allowing plenty of natural light in from above.

With PowerView®, the blinds can be adjusted at the touch of a button or automated to suit your daily routine.

A smart combination of privacy, light control, insulation and motorisation.

A neat solution for modern windows

Recently installed Luxaflex Duette® TruFit blinds, fitted directly to the window frames.

The TruFit system is completely screwless, so there’s no drilling into the window frame. The blinds sit neatly against the glass and move with opening doors and windows, giving a really clean, integrated finish.

Combined with Duette’s honeycomb fabric, they also offer excellent light control, privacy and improved insulation.

A great option where you want the blinds to feel like part of the window rather than an addition to it.

Statement stairs deserve a statement installation

A recent stair runner installation featuring this beautiful design from A Rum Fellow.

We work with A Rum Fellow to give their distinctive, beautifully designed stair runners the professional installation they deserve. With bold patterns like this, careful planning, positioning and pattern matching are essential — especially across turns, winders and multiple flights.

The result is a staircase that becomes a real feature of the home. We love how the pattern works its way through every twist and turn of this one.

Beautiful design. Expertly fitted.

The sisal look, made for real life

A recent stair and landing installation using Unnatural Flooring – New England Stamford, finished with a contrasting dark binding to frame the runner and highlight every turn of the staircase.

Unnatural Flooring gives you the beautiful woven texture and natural appearance of sisal, but with the practicality of a man-made fibre — easier to clean, more resistant to staining and better suited to busy family homes and high-traffic areas.

The contrast edging really makes this installation, creating a crisp tailored finish against the white staircase.

From measuring and planning the landings to binding and expert installation, it’s all in the details.

Love your stairs. Expertly measured. Expertly installed.

Two shading solutions. One seamless smart system.

A recent installation combining Luxaflex® Silhouette® Shades and Roller Blinds, all powered by PowerView® motorisation.

The Silhouette shades beautifully diffuse natural light while giving excellent control over privacy and glare, while the roller blinds provide a clean, understated solution where a simpler finish was required.

With PowerView®, the blinds can be adjusted at the touch of a button — making light and privacy control effortless throughout the home.

Different windows often need different solutions. With over 140 years of Abbotts heritage and experience, we specify, measure and install the right shading for every space.

Expertly measured. Expertly installed. Beautifully controlled.

Love your stairs

A beautiful recent installation of a bespoke stair runner flowing across the stairs and landings, using Crucial Trading Alpine Framed Light.

The subtle herringbone texture combined with the contrasting border gives this staircase a beautifully tailored finish, while allowing the warmth of the timber to remain on show.

Stair runners are all about the details — accurate measuring, careful positioning and expert fitting, particularly when continuing seamlessly across multiple flights and landings.

With over 140 years of Abbotts heritage, we know how to make a staircase a feature of the home.

Expertly measured. Expertly installed. Love your stairs.
