What is it really like to work with me?

Who can say it better than one of my lovely couples.

Thank you to Lisa and Lily for sending this thoughtful email after their wedding day. I just had to share it, so you can all get to know a bit more about what you get if you book me to do your wedding flowers.

L & L were the perfect couple from the start - obsessed with flowers with a gorgeous vision for their wedding day and their wedding flowers. A vision that they let me run with.

If you are getting married in May ... Peonies are your wedding flower.

It’s not the law that you have them but they really are very pretty in a wedding bouquet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The first ever wedding I did I had to make a peony wedding bouquet. I bought the peonies early to open up on time and then panic bought another lot because the first lot looked liked they would open too quickly and then I worried the second lot wouldn’t open on time. It all worked out in the end and the peonies opened perfectly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
20 years later I’m heading in to another peony season and still praying to the peony gods that my peonies open perfectly. They always do on way or another, as all these photos prove.

That “we did it” feeling. Are you in the throws of wedding planning and overwhelmed by choice.

Wouldn’t you just love to have someone take your wedding flowers ideas and make them happen?

You’ve probably already decided on your venue, dress, photographer, caterer and the next big thing is flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You know you want flowers and have saved a few pictures of things you like but how do they translate into real wedding flowers for your wedding?

That’s where I come in. In our initial chat I’ll ask a few questions to understand a bit about what you want for your flowers.

The basics: venue, date, time etc
The essentials: wedding party flowers, ceremony flowers, table flowers
The like to have if budget permits
The colours, style, flowers you love
And the most important question what are you comfortable spending on your wedding flowers

If you want to keep your budget in control stop adding so many small details to the flower brief. It takes away from the impact moments and dilutes your overall aesthetics.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The guests will remember a beautifully styled table with flowers and the food they ate but they probably won’t notice the flowers in the bar when they get their drink at the evening reception.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Concentrate on the key areas
- ceremony
- wedding party
- tables
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then see what budget you have left for additional flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Is it too late to book my 2026 wedding flowers ?

Absolutely not 🤍

Booking trends seem to have changed this year with couples booking their wedding flowers later with shorter lead times and choosing weekdays over weekend dates. Which means I’ve still got some peak wedding weekend dates available for 2026 weddings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This month for example I’ve booked a beautiful wedding Fitzrovia Chapel for August 2026 and have received some lovely enquiries for smaller more intimate London weddings for this summer. The guest list maybe smaller but the focus is still on creating a beautiful day with thoughtful details and gorgeous flowers.

I was reminded of this yesterday when an anniversary post of this beautiful spring wedding popped up on my feed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rachel had the most amazing wedding dress she wanted to keep secret from everyone until the big day. I remember having a sneak peak in our consultation and excitedly designing a beautiful fully wired wedding bouquet of roses, lily of the valley, lisianthus and freesias.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We decided on white for the wedding bouquet to work with dress and then used the beautiful colour palette from the dress for the venue flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Showcasing perfectly how you don’t have to have one colour theme throughout your wedding flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So happy to see my wedding flowers after 7 years continuing to bring joy through the wedding photos.
