🍷 Something new is brewing at Design by Davies…

We’re exploring the idea of hosting intimate supper clubs in our East London studio.

Think long antique tables, candlelight, delicious food, good w**e and evenings spent around the table, surrounded by vintage furniture, antiques and curious objects. 🕯️

Each supper club will have its own theme, inspired by different cuisines, flavours and places from around the world. No two evenings need to be quite the same.

We’re testing the waters and would love to know…

An elegant Edwardian mahogany console table dating from the early 20th century.

The table features a well-proportioned rectangular top above two drawers, each fitted with its original brass handles. It stands on elegant turned legs and has a rich mahogany finish.

The legs show evidence that the table may originally have been fitted with castor wheels.

The two drawers run smoothly and provide useful storage for stationery, keys and other everyday essentials.

A versatile piece that would work beautifully as a console table, hallway table or dressing table.

The table is in good antique condition with marks, scuffs and surface wear throughout, as you would expect from a piece of this age.

A vintage French confit pot or urn, traditionally used for storing and preserving food.

Constructed from terracotta with a distinctive aged green-painted finish to the upper section. The pot has a rounded form with two small side handles.

It has a lovely weathered appearance, with areas of wear and flaking to the painted finish, giving it plenty of character and an authentic aged look.

The interior is unglazed, so the pot is not watertight. It would make an attractive decorative piece.

A great rustic French piece for a kitchen, country-style interior, garden room or simply displayed as a decorative object.

Vintage set of 4 cross-back bentwood bistro chairs by Lombok, dating from around 2009.

Black-painted bentwood frames with distinctive X-shaped backs and woven natural rattan seats. Strong, sturdy and relatively lightweight, with plenty of character from years of use.

Some retain their original Lombok labels and are dated 2009 underneath. There are some scuffs and signs of wear to the painted frames and the rattan seats, but overall they remain in good, usable condition.

✨ Vintage 1970s Hollywood Regency Table Lamp

A striking leaf-shaped crackle glass shade mounted on a solid brass square base with ball feet.

The glass is possibly Italian Murano, although this is unconfirmed. Rewired at some stage with a rocker switch.

A beautiful statement piece with plenty of 1970s glamour. ✨

✨ Pair of Vintage Dillon Bedside Tables

A lovely pair of walnut veneer bedside tables by Dillon, in the Queen Anne style with elegant cabriole legs.

Each has a handy drawer and cupboard storage. Nice condition for their age, with some slight fading to the tops.

A charming matching pair for either side of the bed. 🛏️

An antique mahogany display cabinet dating from the early 20th century, featuring elegant astragal glazing and plenty of decorative detail.

The cabinet has glazed side doors with astragal glazing woodwork, flanking a central flame mahogany door. Inside are fixed-height shelves, which have been painted at some stage, providing useful display space for ceramics, glassware, books or decorative objects.

It has small brass k***s, decorative lattice gallery trim along the top and a wonderfully traditional overall appearance.

Please note that there is no key for the locks, and some of the decorative brackets from the legs are missing. The shelves have also been painted at some point in the past however it remains a very attractive cabinet with lots of charm and character and is in nice overall condition for its age.

A lovely piece for displaying treasured objects while adding a classic period feel to a room.
