At Designer Lighting Store, we love projects where lighting doesn’t just sit in a space — it guides you through it.
For Claybrook Studio in Shoreditch, London, we supplied a series of oversize pendants that now illuminate the customer pathway through their tile and bathroom showroom.
Claybrook Studio is renowned across London’s design community for curating exceptional tiles, stone, and bathroom finishes for high-end residential and hospitality projects. Their Shoreditch studio is a destination space where designers, architects, and clients walk through full material displays, freestanding baths, and large format tile installations to specify finishes in a tactile, immersive environment.
As clients walk through the space selecting finishes, textures and materials, these pendants create a warm, luxurious glow overhead that enhances the entire showroom experience.
The key detail here wasn’t just the finish — it was the lamp source.
We specified an indirect mirrored lamp which prevents harsh glare and instead reflects light back into the gold leaf interior. The result is a rich, ambient golden illumination that amplifies the warmth of the fitting and creates a soft, premium atmosphere throughout the space.
This is a great example of how thoughtful lamp specification can completely transform how a decorative fitting performs in a commercial environment.
