Restoring warmth and character to one of Liverpool’s oldest pubs ✨

The Monro has been welcoming guests since 1765 — and following a thoughtful refurbishment, this historic venue has been brought back to life while honouring its heritage.

DLS were proud to deliver the decorative lighting scheme, introducing feature chandeliers, heritage-inspired pendants and statement wall lights that shape the atmosphere throughout the space.

The brief was simple:
• Create warmth
• Respect the building’s history
• Support a seamless day-to-night experience

With opal glass shades, warm colour temperatures and carefully positioned fittings, a soft, diffused glow now highlights the dark timbers, exposed brickwork and traditional fireplaces — enhancing the character rather than competing with it.

Because great hospitality lighting isn’t just about visibility — it’s about how a space makes people feel.
