The Art of Flow: Crafting a Concrete Masterpiece for a Luxury Hotel Entrance
First impressions are everything in luxury hospitality. When a guest steps through the doors of a high-end hotel, the entrance sets the tone for their entire stay. It needs to strike a perfect balance between grand architectural scale and intimate, tactile craftsmanship.
Our latest project brought this philosophy to life through a custom-engineered 3D flow panel polished plaster concrete feature wall at a premier hotel main entrance. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how we turned raw geometry into an unforgettable visual experience.
Phase 1: Precision from the Ground Up
An ambitious design requires flawless engineering. The undulating, diamond-faceted pattern depends entirely on perfect symmetry. To achieve this, we utilized laser level guidance to project highly accurate crosshairs across the substrate. Each modular square panel was carefully mounted, using specialized temporary spacers and shims to maintain uniform alignment. Without this level of meticulous preparation, the geometric “flow” would lose its seamless illusion.
Phase 2: Erasing the Seams
Once the structural backing panels were locked into place, the real magic began. In its raw form, a gridded wall looks clinical. To transform it into a monolithic sculpture, every joint, intersection, and perimeter edge was filled, reinforced, and meticulously skimmed. By completely erasing the panel seams, we created a single, continuous canvas ready for its final skin. At this stage, overhead electrical conduits were also integrated to prepare for custom spotlighting designed to play off the wall’s upcoming depth.
Phase 3: The Polished Concrete Plaster Finish
The soul of this installation lies in its final finish. Polished plaster concrete bridges the gap between industrial brutalism and refined luxury. Rather than opting for a stark, flat, modern minimalist surface, the design team utilized a specialized clay and lime-based plaster finish. It features a subtly pitted, slightly irregular texture that mimics traditional Provençal architecture.

Mastering the Curve: Crafting a 300m2 of Polished plaster Concrete Ceiling
When it comes to modern interior design, seamless architectural features are the ultimate luxury. But taking those features and flipping them overhead? That’s where true craftsmanship comes into play.
We are currently on-site working on a massive 300 m2 polished plaster concrete ceiling, and it is shaping up to be an absolute masterpiece.
As you can see in image.png, this isn’t your standard flat ceiling. This project is a masterclass in geometric complexity, featuring intricate bullnoses, deep recessed channels, and seamless fluid curves that sweep across the entire expanse of the venue.
Why the Ceiling is the Ultimate Canvas
In large-scale spaces, a ceiling shouldn’t just be an afterthought—it should tie the entire room together. By utilizing a polished concrete-look Venetian plaster, we are achieving an industrial yet highly refined aesthetic. The subtle variations in tone and texture bounce light beautifully, making the massive space feel incredibly dynamic.
The Challenge of Curves and Bullnoses
Applying Venetian plaster to a flat wall requires skill, but executing it on curved overhead surfaces and rounded bullnose edges demands perfection.
Precision Edging: Every bullnose must be perfectly uniform to ensure the light catches the radius evenly.
Seamless Transitions: With 300 m2 to cover, keeping a “wet edge” and blending the plaster seamlessly through multi-level recesses is a high-stakes race against the clock.
Ergonomic Endurance: Working overhead on towers to trowel and polish every square inch to a flawless finish takes incredible patience and physical stamina.
When finished, this raw, under-construction space will transform into a sleek, high-end environment where the ceiling is the undeniable focal point. Stay tuned for the final reveal!
