Pantone's of the Year for 2026, Cloud Dancer, is a soft, chalky white - and one that feels very much in step with where interiors are heading.
I spoke to the Daily Mail about why this kind of white works so well in real homes. Used properly, white isn’t blank or sterile; it’s about light, proportion and, above all, texture. When you layer natural materials - linen, stone, timber, plaster - a white like this becomes warm, grounding and quietly elegant rather than clinical.
It’s less about chasing a trend and more about creating spaces that feel calm, restorative and easy to live with.
