This is a reminder of another seven bookmarks I’ve shared with you in my Stories as part of the 'Bookmark a Day' series.
The original plan was to add one bookmark a day, but as you can see, it doesn’t always work that way 🙂

At the moment, we’re almost halfway through the series, but there are still around 30 bookmark designs waiting to be sewn 😁 So yes, this project will definitely stretch over time.

Now it’s time to meet the next seven bookmarks (43-49)

1. Forest & Moon
2. Sandy Ray
3. Willow bough
4. Blue Paisley upcycled
5. Polish folk Łowicz
6. Golden Lily - W. Morris
7. Paisley in salmon colour

Please let us know which one is your favourite?

If you are new here:
I try to show you one of my bookmarks in Stories daily (read: whenever I can 😅).
You can find all of them saved in the “Bookmarks” highlights.

February Hidden Bookmark - Verona edition ✨
DONE! 🙂

With Verona in mind, I sewed a bookmark that, in my opinion, fits this city perfectly, a place of love stories, old letters, and words hidden between pages. 🌹📖
Among all the bookish places I visited, stood out the most.
A charming independent bookshop combined with a café, where shelves full of books blend into a space for reading, coffee, and a moment for yourself. The atmosphere has a true book-lover vibe. New and second-hand books, warm light, and the unmistakable scent of coffee and paper in the air. ☕📚
It was a little difficult to choose the book where I would hide the bookmark because I don’t speak = read Italian 🤷‍♀️, so I had to trust my intuition. In the end, I chose a volume of love poetry - Zanichelli - "Ovidio, Amori". It felt right.
I’m really happy I managed to leave a Hidden Bookmark here.
And tomorrow I’ll share one more short story connected to this hidden bookmark edition.

Do you think I chose the right bookmark for Verona? 🌹

Secondo voi ho scelto il segnalibro giusto per Verona? 🌹

This bookmark was made almost 20 years ago 🩷
Around that time I embroidered a small series of bookmarks using very tiny stitches. I made only four of them, each in slightly different shades.
Three of them found their readers long ago.
This one stayed hidden in a box for many years.
When I was planning a trip to Italy, I decided to create a Hidden Bookmark there. While choosing which bookmark to take with me, I picked this one. I also prepared another bookmark especially for that trip (you can read about it in my previous post).
Originally I planned to hide this one somewhere in Peschiera del Garda, but while walking along the lake I noticed a woman sitting on the beach reading a book. At that moment I felt that this bookmark should go to her.
So I took out the envelope and the notebook and started writing the note. A huge rock near the beach became my desk while I wrote the message 😊
When I finished writing, I packed the bookmark and the note into the envelope, and suddenly panic kicked in. I rarely approach strangers and usually avoid situations like this because of social anxiety.
But I did it. 😁
Later I received an email from Eva thanking me for the surprise. In her message she wrote something I completely agree with:
“Il mondo ha bisogno di questi gesti di gentilezza gratuita.” -The world needs these small acts of kindness.
Giving a bookmark to a reader I notice somewhere along the way is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
I hope I will find the courage to do it more often. 🤞🏼

The new Kente-inspired bookmarks have just landed in the shop! 🙂
This fabric is not handwoven Kente, it’s a vibrant printed cotton inspired by traditional Kente patterns. The colours are incredibly rich and bold 💛💚❤️💙🖤💛
For now, I’ve added only five pieces to the shop. Click on the photo and the shop link will appear.
I truly hope you’ll love this new Kente edition as much as you’ve loved the previous ones.
At the moment, there are 120 different bookmarks available in my shop, almost all sewn from cotton, with a few made from felt.
Each fabric bookmark comes with a colour-matched tassel, handmade by me to complement the pattern.
You’re warmly invited to explore the Kente collection, and the rest of my assortment.

Do these colours bring you joy?

Years ago, I was asked to sew a pair of shorts from a beautiful Kente print fabric. I kept the remaining pieces and later turned them into bookmarks.
You loved them, and honestly, I understand why. There’s something truly special about this print 🧡
For the past few years, I’ve been trying to track down this exact Kente print. Markets, fabric shops, online stores, community groups - no luck. I keep hearing the same thing: this pattern, this colourway is gone and won’t be reprinted.
The last four bookmarks made from this original print are now in my shop.
That’s the end of this exact fabric.
I do have other beautiful Kente bookmarks available - different colours and patterns, but this was the first one, the one that started the story.
I’m still searching for print number 23753 and I’m not giving up hope 💛
If you’ve ever seen it anywhere, please let me know 🙏
❓Would you keep searching… or let it become a legend?

New Fantasy Toile de Jouy bookmarks -
Dragons, castles and knights 🏰
Storybook-style fabric print, blue ink on a white background, like scenes from an old tale 😀

✨ Toile de Jouy - an illustrated fabric print style dating back to 18th-century France - reimagined here in a fantasy version 💙

They’re now in the shop and they started travelling fast: one was claimed before the listing even went live and is already in Latvia, and another sold right after launch and is flying to France today 🇱🇻🇫🇷

Made especially for readers of fantasy, fairy tales and historical adventures — perfect companions for epic series, cosy classics, mythology retellings and story-rich novels.

❓Which fantasy books would you pair this bookmark with? Let me know ✨

My “London” bookmarks are back in stock.
For those who love London and books, of course 😁

I love that they’re often chosen as little London keepsakes for readers and visiting guests, something unique and useful instead of another fridge magnet.
Each bookmark is cut from illustrated London cotton and sewn here in London - every piece shows a different tiny scene of the city: St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, Tower Bridge ... and Royal Guards 🫶🏼

✨ Good to know: when you visit London, you can step into - the city’s oldest bookshop, open since 1797.

"Name" bookmarks for Daisy from Bournemouth ⛱️

Children often love having things that feel truly theirs – their own mug, their own blanket, and sometimes even their very own bookmark 😊. With their name between the pages, reading becomes more fun and often motivates them to pick up a book more often.

Does your little reader already have their favourite bookmark?
