BEFORE & AFTER | Battersea Townhouse Kitchen

The most impactful transformations often begin with the layout, the way a space flows can completely redefine how a home is lived in and experienced.

In this Battersea townhouse, the original kitchen was small, dark, enclosed and disconnected from the rest of the home. While it served its purpose, it didn’t reflect the way our clients wanted to live.

By removing the separating walls, we transformed it into a light-filled, open-plan kitchen that has become the heart of the home. The new layout creates a natural flow between cooking, dining and entertaining, making everyday family life feel more connected.

A soft, neutral palette, layered with natural materials, brings warmth and personality without overwhelming the space. Bespoke cabinetry and carefully considered storage ensure every element is both beautiful and functional.

**BEFORE & AFTER**

For the master bedroom in our Venice villa project, we completely reimagined the space to create a calm and luxurious retreat that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

The original room had beautiful proportions and character, but it lacked functionality and a clear sense of identity. We introduced seamlessly integrating storage while creating an elegant architectural feature behind the bed. Soft textured wall panels, warm neutral tones and carefully layered lighting add depth and warmth, transforming the room into a sanctuary that feels effortlessly refined.

The adjoining dressing area was also redesigned to maximise every inch of space, with bespoke wardrobes that combine practical storage with clean, contemporary lines, creating a seamless journey from dressing area to bedroom.

As our lives become increasingly fast-paced and dominated by technology, our homes have never played a more important role. They should be places that help us slow down, breathe, recharge and reconnect—not just with ourselves, but with the natural world.

This is the essence of biophilic design. 🌿

By introducing more natural light, organic materials, planting, rich textures and a stronger connection to the outdoors, we can create environments that work in harmony with our natural instincts. The spaces we inhabit have a profound impact on how we feel, influencing our mood, reducing stress, improving focus and even supporting better sleep.

When nature becomes an integral part of the design, a home becomes more than just a beautiful space—it becomes a sanctuary that nurtures both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Here is a selection of our projects where one of biophilic design principles have been thoughtfully incorporated. Each one demonstrates that a connection to nature can be interpreted in different ways, while creating interiors that feel timeless, balanced and deeply restorative.

The before and after of the main living room of our Grade II listed project.

Designing within a listed property is always a careful balance between preserving the building’s historic character and creating spaces that support modern living. Every intervention needs to respect the original architecture, ensuring that new elements enhance rather than compete with the home’s heritage.

In this living room, original features have been carefully restored and complemented with contemporary furnishings, bespoke details and considered lighting, creating a space that feels elegant, comfortable and entirely in keeping with the property’s history.

Working with listed homes is about understanding their story first, then designing in a way that allows the next chapter to unfold—honouring the past while creating a home that works beautifully for the way our clients live today.

A carefully chosen pop of colour can completely transform a space.

In this kitchen, we’ve paired a rich mustard yellow with a deep blue from A carefully chosen pop of colour can completely transform a space.

These are two different projects, each using colour in a considered and personal way.

In the kitchen, we paired a rich mustard yellow with a deep Farrow & Ball blue, creating a scheme that feels bold, warm and timeless. The contrast brings depth and personality while keeping the overall space elegant and balanced.

In a separate project, we introduced the same mustard yellow within a working area. Here, the colour was used to bring energy, creativity and a sense of optimism to the room, while still feeling refined and calming.

From a colour psychology perspective, yellow is often associated with warmth, confidence and creativity. Used thoughtfully, it can uplift a space without overwhelming it—especially when balanced with deeper, grounding tones.

Every home begins with a story.

A story shaped by the people who live there, the memories they carry, the places they love and the way they want to feel in their everyday life.

Interior design gives that story a voice.

Through colour, materials, art, craftsmanship and carefully considered details, each space becomes a reflection of its owners — personal, meaningful and entirely unique.

For me, a beautiful home is not simply a collection of beautiful things. It is a place where every element feels connected, creating an interior that tells your story and continues to evolve with you.

The open-plan living room in our Battersea townhouse project exudes eclectic sophistication, beautifully balancing refined aesthetics with inviting comfort.

The colour palette for this informal living space was developed through our psychological colour analysis with the client, revealing a personality that thrives in calm, warm and welcoming environments.

Soft, neutral tones were chosen to create a sense of relaxation and balance, allowing the beautiful outdoor views to take centre stage.

To add depth and texture, we introduced subtle blue tones through the Kilim-inspired fabric on the armchairs. These gentle accents echo the water views beyond, creating a seamless connection between the interior and its surroundings.
