A busy day inside the workshop, where several custom projects are progressing through the production process.

A special door blank featuring applied mouldings, designed to match an existing door exactly, is in its final preparation stage and is about to head to the spray booth, where it will be stained and glazed before locks are fitted to complete the piece. Alongside this, Accoya doors are being carefully hand-fitted into their frames using 3mm spacers to account for the draft-proofing seals.

Once pre-fitting is complete, the frames and doors will head to the spray booth for colouring, before the glass is installed. The glazing bars are already on and nearly ready to go.

A triple casement window installation in Putney, where classic conservation design meets exceptional everyday performance.

Behind the beautiful plantation shutters sits a slim, non-bulky conservation window designed to maximise natural light. Sharp craftsmanship throughout, with a black spacer bar, a neat bottom rail moulding, and precise measurements of 45mm front-to-back and 48mm on the sides. A 6mm applied leaded bar has been specified to match the neighbouring houses, ensuring the installation sits perfectly within the street scene.

Traditional hardware and a multi-point locking system at the top and bottom provide security throughout, while trickle vents on the underside ensure ventilation. When closed, the reduction in traffic noise is phenomenal.

A beautiful bathroom installation on a sunny day in Putney, where a stunning sash window with sharp envelope mouldings sits perfectly alongside complementary plantation shutters.

Beyond the aesthetics, this installation highlights an important point on safety glass. The bottom pane is toughened glass as it sits below the 800mm threshold from floor to glass. It is also worth noting that where a bathtub sits adjacent to a window, the 800mm measurement is taken from the bottom of the bath rather than the floor.

For architects and interior designers, best practice is to specify toughened glass for any window within a bathroom regardless of height, given the slip hazards that water can create.

This stunning installation is in its final stages.

This hybrid design sits somewhere between French doors and French windows, featuring narrow frames, a curved overlight, a quarter panel at the top with quirk moulding, and beautifully thick sections throughout. The side windows have been matched to the doors, with matching casement fasteners tying the whole look together.

Once complete, these doors will open from a bedroom directly onto a concrete balcony overlooking the common. A view worth doing justice to.

A beautiful and bespoke installation on Putney Common, still in its final stages but already looking stunning.

Finished in a beautiful musk green, this window is designed to look like a traditional sash from the outside, complete with staff beads and horns. However, it is anything but standard. With a touch of architectural licence, the window is uniquely designed to hinge from the top and is held open by stays, providing excellent ventilation while safely restricting access to the roof outside.

Toughened glass has been fitted at the bottom as it sits below 800mm, and a concealed trickle vent is hidden neatly behind the front rail, completely invisible from the outside.
