Rare Southwestern Turkish Cicim šŸ¤

This beautiful Cicim is woven in cotton, with a raised wool embroidery overlay creating a distinctive little motifs.

Made in Southwestern Turkey, cicima are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly in complete, clean and well-preserved condition.

They have such a lovely contemporary yet traditional feel ā€” understated, colourful and full of texture. They would work beautifully in a bedroom, draped over the end of a bed, layered over another textile, or simply used as a decorative throw.

A lovely example of traditional Turkish weaving that feels just as at home in a more contemporary setting. šŸ¤
