Chelsea Textiles is a family firm, started by Mona Perlhagen, who moved to London from New York, where she had been a fashion buyer for Bloomingdale’s. She identified a need for perfect recreations of antique embroidered fabrics and cushions, to complement traditional interiors, and set about researching and sourcing authentic materials and the world’s best craftsmen, to produce hand-embroidered fabrics of the same quality as those of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Chelsea Textiles is looking for a Sales Associate assisting with Fabrics, Wallpapers & Trimmings in our Pimlico Road Showroom, London

Chelsea Textiles is seeking a creative and proactive Sales Associate to join our Pimlico Road showroom. A key part of this role involves maintaining the showroom displays and ensuring our trade clients and international agents are consistently supplied with the latest samples and collections.
You will act as a consultant to top interior designers and private clients, using our hand-embroidered fabrics, wovens, and wallpapers to help them develop cohesive design schemes. This is a hands-on role that requires a professional manner and a strong eye for colour.

Core Responsibilities
• Sample & Showroom Management: Keep trade clients and showrooms updated with latest samples; maintain high visual standards across all displays.
• Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to industry professionals and retail customers in person, via email, and by phone.
• Order Management: Accurately process sales and purchase orders using Sage and coordinate with the warehouse for deliveries.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the press and warehouse teams to support brand consistency and stock movement.

Who You Are
• Industry Minded: You have a genuine interest in luxury interiors and high-end craftsmanship.
• Organised: You can efficiently balance creative client work with the administrative requirements of sample distribution.
• Professional: A confident communicator with a proactive, “can-do” approach to showroom operations.

Package & Terms
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm.
• Benefits: Competitive salary, workplace pension, and health insurance (after one year).
• Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Chelsea Textiles is seeking a full time, hands on, creative and customer orientated Junior Sales Associate to join our Fabric, Wallpapers and Trimmings team in our Pimlico Road Showroom.

The ideal candidate should feel confident dealing with both trade and retail clients, should have a good eye for colour and be able to assist with incorporating our hand embroidered fabrics, coordinating wovens, wallpapers and trims into customers schemes.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for interiors and craftsmanship who thrives in a luxury retail environment and enjoys building lasting client relationships. You will deliver exceptional service to both trade and private clients while driving sales and contributing to the continued success of the showroom.

Introducing our new wallpaper: Bonnie Stripe!

Chelsea Textiles has revived and reimagined a charming
hand-painted French document from 1925, creating a lively
striped wallpaper.

Printed using the traditional surface print technique, this wallpaper is created by applying each colour with engraved rollers directly onto the paper. The process produces rich, matte tones and subtle variations that give the design its distinctive handcrafted character.
