A little inside look at our camera roll after a day on site 👀

Floor plans, progress pictures, paint finishes, tiny details and approximately 400 photos of the same corner from slightly different angles… all completely necessary, obviously 🫣

They might not look like much at the time, but these are the moments in between that eventually become the finished spaces you see on our feed.

The progress, the decisions, the details and sometimes the things that need changing… it’s all part of bringing a project to life.

No matter how big or small the project, 3D renders are such an important part of our design process 👀

Before anything is ordered, painted or installed, we want our clients to be able to properly visualise how their finished space is going to look and feel.

From the layout and furniture placement to colours, materials and lighting, bringing everything together in 3D means we can explore the details, make changes and feel confident in the design before bringing it to life.

Whether we’re designing one room or an entire home, every client gets the opportunity to step inside their space before the transformation even begins

We’re super excited to introduce the newest addition to the G R Design Studio team… meet Elle! ✨

Elle joins us as an Interior Designer and will be working alongside me across our projects, giving our clients even more support throughout the design process as the studio continues to grow.

With a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design, Elle has a real love for residential interiors, furniture, materials, styling and visualisation, with a particular eye for colour, texture and all those little details that bring a space together.

She also shares our belief that interiors should feel personal, functional and effortless to live in, so she already feels like such a natural fit for the studio.

Elle has been busy getting stuck into projects behind the scenes and we’re so excited for you to see more of what we’re working on together.

“I’ll just pop to site quickly”... famous last words 👀

One thing about interior design is that no two days ever quite go to plan. A quick site visit turns into contractor questions, client calls, supplier updates, decisions that need making there and then and somehow, an entire day has disappeared.

And yes, sometimes deciding between white and off-white really does require that much thought 😂

It might look like organised chaos behind the scenes, but keeping all of those moving parts moving is a huge part of what we do, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way

Anyone else incapable of having a “quick” site visit?

That feeling when all the furniture for an install finally arrives ✨

Although... don't expect a reply from us for a little while. We'll be far too busy unpacking boxes and finding homes for every last cushion, lamp, and styling piece 👀

Install days are always a mix of organised chaos, but they're also one of our favourite parts of the job. It's the moment all the planning, sourcing, and design decisions finally come together.

And yes... a box cutter and a good pair of scissors are probably two of the most-used tools in the studio 🩷

There’s no finished space without hundreds of thoughtful decisions along the way 👀

From narrowing down fabrics and flooring to choosing the right dining chair or wall light, every detail plays a part in how a space looks and feels.

One of our favourite parts of the design process is taking all of those possibilities and refining them into a scheme that feels cohesive, considered, and completely personal to each client.

And yes… there really are *that* many dining chairs to choose from 🫣🩷
