A guest room they’ll actually want to stay in ✨
When we first walked into this room, it was a fairly blank space with plenty of potential, but it was missing the warmth and personality we wanted it to have.
Guest bedrooms can easily become an afterthought, but we wanted this one to feel just as thought through as the rest of the home. Somewhere calm and restful, but still full of enough character to make family and friends feel genuinely at home when they stay.
Soft grey-green panelling gave us the starting point, with Pigeon No.25 bringing colour and depth against the warmer off-white walls.
From there, we built up the room in layers. The softly scalloped upholstered bed creates a focal point, contemporary artwork adds contrast, while natural linen, botanical prints, boucle, oak and soft lighting bring warmth and texture throughout.
We also created a quiet corner with an armchair, giving guests somewhere to sit with a book, have a morning coffee or simply slow down.
It’s those layers together that took the room from a spare bedroom to a warm, characterful guest retreat. 🩷
