As the snow gently blankets the rooftops and the fire crackles in the hearth, a group of young men dressed in festive cloaks and woolen socks sets out into the night. They are the "Koledari" — bearers of ancient songs, blessings, and joy.

In Bulgaria, the ritual of "Koleduvane" takes place on Christmas Eve. It is a magical tradition where carolers visit homes, singing special songs called koledarski pesni to wish health, prosperity, and happiness. Each household welcomes them with bread, nuts, and dried fruits — tokens of gratitude and hope.

This little woolen figurine is a tribute to that tradition. Crafted with love using the needle felting technique, it carries the spirit of the Koledar : - cheerful, protective, and full of warmth. Its cloak and decorations proudly feature the colors of the Bulgarian flag white, a green, and red — a subtle homage to heritage and hope.

🌲 Created especially for a Christmas tree decoration competition, this ornament celebrates the ritual of Koleduvane — a magical tradition where carolers bring health, joy, and good fortune to every home.
