The luxury home as a managed asset.

The role of residential property is changing for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Luxury homes are no longer viewed solely as lifestyle purchases or personal expressions of taste. Increasingly, they are being approached as long-term assets within broader wealth, legacy, and portfolio strategies. Assets expected to perform emotionally, operationally, and financially over time. This shift is becoming increasingly visible in conversations with private clients, family offices, and advisors internationally.

Turnkey living is reshaping luxury residential design.

It's no longer about ownership or scale, it's about ease. About spaces that function flawlessly, reflect life entirely, and arrive complete. We explore how the residential and hospitality sectors are redefining client expectations: not design in isolation, but fully realised environments delivered with continuity, discretion, and operational clarity from start to finish.

A bespoke piece designed in our studio.

When we design furniture, we think about the room it will live in before we think about the object itself. The proportions, the way a surface will catch light, the finish that will sit quietly alongside everything else in the space. This piece came from that process. Brass framing, two distinct surfaces, designed to belong somewhere specific and feel like it could never have been anything else.

It is the same process we apply to everything we design from scratch, whether that is a chandelier that needs to hold a double height room, a rug that ties a palette together, or a light fitting that disappears into the architecture. Each one starts with the space, and ends with something made for it.

Two moments in the same space.

The bedroom sits softly in blush and warm neutral tones, with a circular mirror and dressing area tucked just beyond. We designed this Kensington apartment to feel personal and unhurried, two moods in one continuous space.

Juan Les Pins apartment, part 2.

The sitting end of the same space, where the room slows down. Warm tones, layered textures, a few objects placed without fuss. The sandy palette from part one carries through here, quieter now, with nothing competing, but everything belonging. The kind of room that is easy to settle into and hard to leave.

Which end of the space would you spend most time in? Head to our previous post to see part one.

Juan Les Pins apartment, part 1.
Warm, sandy tones that feel borrowed from the landscape outside. An open plan that moves easily from dining to sitting to kitchen, with the sea light coming in through floor to ceiling glass.

Keep an eye out for part two.

Our Paris project, up close.

Every detail in this collage is part of a space currently in development. From the sculptural pieces to the brass finishing, this is a project that has been designed detail by detail.

Dunes and waves, suspended in crystal.

Sand & Sea by Haberdashery combines clusters of rippled crystal glass with precious metal finishing, echoing the forms of dunes and waves. Clear crystal and gilt components converge into a fluid sculptural installation, lit to activate reflections and refractions that shift as the light does. The kind of work that inspires how we think about light at Rive Gauche London.
