Flowers you won’t find in a supermarket 🌸

One of the loveliest bits of feedback we get about our bouquets is how unusual the flowers are. We grow varieties you simply don’t tend to see in a supermarket bunch.

That’s because we grow with the seasons, choosing flowers for their character, colour and movement. Every week brings a slightly different combination.

And you don’t need a birthday, anniversary or special occasion to buy flowers. There’s something joyful about bringing a bunch home just because you love them, putting them on the kitchen table or a windowsill and bringing a little piece of the farm indoors. We could all do with a bit more everyday joy.

Our flowers are grown right here at Horsenden, harvested by hand and arranged into seasonal bunches with lots of love and care. And every purchase helps us to keep growing local food and flowers for our community. So buy yourself the flowers (and support something good while you’re at it) — you deserve them.

You can find our freshly cut bunches at Horsenden Farm Shop every Saturday, 10am–12.30pm, or from our self-serve flower shed every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am–6pm. Gift bouquets and event flowers available to order — get in touch!

🌸 We’re back! 🌸

After a couple of weeks away, Horsenden Farm Flowers is back, and we couldn’t have timed our return much better because the dahlias have arrived!

While we’ve been taking a little pause from cutting, the flowers have been quietly getting on with things, and we’ve come back to armfuls of beautiful late-summer blooms. The dahlias are finally hitting their stride, joined by zinnias, amaranth, orach, statice, grasses and all the lovely textures and colours that make this time of year so special.

It’s been an incredibly challenging growing season, with the prolonged heat and drought making this one of the toughest summers we’ve experienced at Horsenden. So seeing these flowers coming into their own now feels particularly joyful, and we’re ready to get back to picking and making bunches again.

We’ll have lots of our freshly cut, locally grown flowers available this weekend. Our bunches and posies are filled with all the best that the Horsenden flower field has to offer — including, of course, our glorious dahlias.

🌼 Taking a Short Break 🌼
After a wonderfully busy few months, our flower farmer and florist, Beth, is taking a break for the next couple of weeks to rest and recharge.

That means there won’t be any fresh flower bunches for a short while, but don’t worry—we’ve been busy making up a lovely collection of dried flower bunches to tide us over. They’re the perfect flowers for a summer heatwave: no wilting, no watering, just months (or even years!) of colour and joy.

You’ll still be able to find us at Boston Manor Farmers’ Market this Saturday (8th August, 9.30am–2.30pm), where we’ll have our dried flower bunches and posies alongside a selection of delicious farm veg. And the Horsenden Farm Shop will be running as usual too (Saturdays, 10am–12.30pm), so you can still pick up an everlasting bunch alongside your favourite farm produce.

When Beth is back, we’re hoping to be in the middle of a dahlia extravaganza. If all goes to plan they’ll be bursting into bloom, filling our bunches with the glorious colours of late summer. We’re keeping everything crossed that they arrive as this spell of extreme weather comes to an end (rain would certainly be welcome!). What better way to celebrate the changing of the season than a dahlia explosion!

Last weekend we were back at Boston Manor Farmers’ Market – and with no beer this time, the flowers were flying solo!

It was a brilliant morning and a wonderful opportunity to introduce Horsenden to people who didn’t yet know we’re right on their doorstep. We loved chatting about what we do, from our seasonal, British-grown flowers and nature-friendly growing methods to the wider work of the farm and our volunteering opportunities.

It was also lovely to showcase our wedding flowers and bespoke bouquet service. We’re delighted to have received so many enquiries for 2027 weddings already, and it’s always a privilege to talk with couples about creating flowers that celebrate the season and support local, sustainable growing.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall. It was especially lovely to meet so many of you who had discovered us through Instagram and wanted to come and say hello in person!
