Show home for Notting Hill Genesis at Hackney Yards.
Senior Interior Designer, Alysha Dixon, says…
“Drawing on the area’s industrial heritage, thriving arts scene and distinctive street culture, the scheme combines raw, urban finishes such as concrete, ply, ribbed glass and graffiti-inspired graphics with richer, more tactile elements to create an elevated take on industrial living.
The colour palette was key to achieving this balance: warm pinky taupes and terracottas provide a softer, grounding base, while deep berry and teal jewel tones bring the vibrancy, individuality and energy associated with Hackney Wick.
Charcoal and black accents reference the area’s industrial architecture and give these vibrant colours greater impact, while oak and ply finishes add warmth and texture.
Local artwork and references to Hackney’s warehouses, street art and creative community further root the apartment in its surroundings, resulting in a home that feels bold, eclectic and memorable, but still sophisticated and liveable for a design-conscious London.”
